The 14-day free trial: run a real affiliate program before you pay
A no-credit-card, 14-day free trial of LimeliJourney — what's included, the usage allowance, tracking from day one on a shared subdomain, the day counter, what happens at day 14 and day 21, and how the prorated first charge works when you convert.
Most affiliate platforms make you choose between a sales call and a leap of faith. LimeliJourney's free trial is the third option: 14 days, no credit card, a full workspace, so you can stand up a real program and watch it track before you decide anything. Nothing is charged unless you choose to continue. This is the same platform paying customers run — not a stripped-down sandbox — on the plan you pick at signup.
What you actually get
A trial workspace is the whole product: first-party tracking on your own domain, the affiliate portal your partners log into, every report and the Analytics page, and the LimeliChat AI advisor that can set things up for you or answer questions in plain language. You pick a plan at signup — Launch, Rise, Core, or Pro — and the trial runs on that plan's feature set.
There's a usage allowance so a trial stays a trial, but it's sized to run a genuine test rather than a toy demo:
- 50,000 clicks and 250 conversions
- 150 AI credits and 200 platform emails
You can see how much you've used at any time under Settings → Billing. That's enough headroom to wire up a live offer, invite a few real affiliates, and let traffic flow for two weeks.
Track from day one — skip the DNS wait
Normally you add your own tracking domain before you can generate links, because first-party tracking lives on a domain you control. On a trial, that's not a day-one wall: your workspace can mint tracking links on a shared subdomain immediately, so you can build your first advertiser, offer, affiliate, and campaign and start recording clicks right away. Our getting-started guide walks that chain end to end.
When you're ready to run on your own brand, add your tracking domain under Settings → Domains — it verifies, gets its certificate, and goes live automatically, usually within minutes. It's worth doing before you convert, because a domain you own gives the most durable attribution against browser privacy protections. The tracking domains guide covers the records and why your own domain matters.
The day counter, and the two dates that matter
A banner across the top of the app always tells you where you are — "Day 3 of 14" early on, then "N days left in your free trial," turning amber in the final stretch. Admins get an Add payment button in that banner whenever they want it.
Your trial doesn't slam shut at the end. On day 14 the trial ends, but your tracking keeps running for another 7 days so your attribution never blinks while you sort out payment. The app becomes read-only with a "your free trial has ended" screen where you can add payment or keep reading your reports. If nothing is added by day 21, the workspace is suspended and tracking stops — but everything you built is kept, so adding payment later brings it all back.
Converting to paid
When you decide to keep it, an admin clicks Add payment, signs the Data Processing Agreement (your typed name is the signature), and finishes on Stripe's secure hosted checkout — your card never touches LimeliJourney. Your first charge is prorated to the days left in the current calendar month, and from the next period you're billed the plan's normal monthly price. You can also switch plans at this point: started on Rise but want Launch or Core? Choose it on the checkout screen.
Is the trial right for you?
If you already know you want a guided rollout, a demo is still the better door — the team sets your workspace up with you. But if you'd rather see the platform track your own traffic before you commit a euro, start the trial, follow the getting-started chain, and let it run. Two weeks is enough to know.
